We drove down to Poole Harbour on Monday to meet up with Simon and Drenagh Wootton on their boat ‘Good Times’. It’s a luxury 50′ motor boat which offers cruises around Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island, Studland Bay and Swanage. The scenery is fabulous, the boat is lovely and Drenagh provided a delicious light lunch. It was a real highlight of our stay in the area – we loved it! They specialise in family get together and celebration cruises – birthdays, anniversaries, even the scattering of ashes.
Shipston Therapy Centre’s summer newsletter focuses on the life/work balance many of us struggle with. Returning from our summer holidays often makes us reflect on our lives!
The therapists at Shipston Natural Health offer different approaches to help us find calm and well-being as we face the transition from summer into autumn.
Give them a call at 01608 664664 for help in finding a more fulfilling, rewarding life or visit their website at www.shipstontherapycentre.co.uk
It’s been a busy summer in the sunshine at Poole Boat Charters. The 50 foot luxury motor boat Good Times can be hired for a variety of cruises including whole day, half day and evenings.
Simon and Drenagh Wootton host the cruises which are ideal for family celebrations. Check their website for more information at www.pooleboatcharters.co.uk
We had the pleasure of staying at Distiller’s Cottage for two weeks last month. Blackwell is a lovely village, well away from main roads but close to Shipston on Stour and Stratford upon Avon for facilities.
The cottage itself has one bedroom with ensuite bathroom, a living/dining/kitchen area and a little courtyard garden – we were very comfortable there.
It makes a great base for visiting South Warwickshire and The Cotswolds.

Sketts has received special recognition at the Touch FM Pride of Warwick District Awards for providing a market in the town for more than five decades.
The awards ceremony took place on July 4th with Sketts’ operations manager Russell Dean collecting the award along with colleagues Aby Skett and Jayne McKay.
He said, “We firmly believe the market is the heart of a town and community and we have lived and breathed markets in Warwick since 1958”.
A family run business, Sketts are now in their third generation managing the Warwick market.
A busy time for Marble by Design at the moment. The Hampton Court Flower Show and the Harrogate Gift Fair are big events on the calendar and Simon and son Jack are at both. You can also see all their products online including a batch of new ones here. The pictures are just a sample of their huge range.
It’s always a good idea to keep your website updated and refreshed at least once a year. HR Consultant Lorraine Smith at Bravo Zulu has just added three videos to her website so that potential clients can ‘meet’ her and get an idea of her areas of expertise before giving her a call.
We think it works really well – take a look at www.bravozuluhr.co.uk
