We’ve been doing a few updates for Cowslips – a holiday apartment in Lymington. It’s right in the town and just a few minutes stroll down to the harbour. It’s a lovely town at any time of the year. After holding Birmingham’s first ever Chilli Festival, due to popular demand we are back for our second year at Brindleyplace. The Chilli Festival will be held over the 13th and 14th July as part of a city wide event Food Fest which also coincides with the Birmingham International Jazz and Blues Festival. The fiery festival will feature plenty of entertainment for all the family and a chilli eating competition to really give you Chilli Heads a kick.

It’s the annual works outing to the 24 hour race at Le Mans June 14th – 18th. A merry band of seven set off in three cars, loaded up with camping gear and provisions.
Julian will be at the Stratford upon Avon farmers’ market on Saturday. His flowers are fabulous – fresh, locally grown and incredibly good value – they are so long lasting!
He has some special scented stocks for this weekend as well as sweet peas, sweet William and his lovely mixed bunches. His flowers never disappoint and always look glorious in a vase.

Stratford’s food festival in September is set to be bigger and better than ever. We are delighted that The Fabulous Baker Brothers will be giving a baking demonstration on Sunday 23rd and there will be plenty of other demos on both days by some of our favourite chefs , BBQ Ben, Alan Coxon and Franck Pontais, who are all returning for a second time.
Lots of stalls, tasting samples, food and drink from local suppliers as well as around the country plus music, kids activities and lots of extra markets throughout the town – it’ll be a great day out for the whole family. Advance tickets on sale soon – kids go free.
Budding entrepreneurs can try out trading on Stratford upon Avon’s Friday retail market for just £10 on June 29th. Market organizers Sketts are responding to a review by retail expert Mary Portas who has proposed a national market day to promote town centre shopping.
