Brothers Tom and Henry have had great success in 2012 with their hit television show and book, The Fabulous Baker Brothers.
As 5th generation bakers they have come from a long line of family food lovers and are carrying on the tradition with gusto.
Fresh out of baking college, Tom won Young Baker of the Year, heading out with a wealth of artisanal nous. His family business, Hobbs House Bakery has won many prestigious awards and featured in the Independent’s top 50 food shops.
Henry, ex head chef of the Coach and Horses in Farringdon, is passionate about carefully sourced, good quality seasonal ingredients. Reviving old recipes is part of his mission to restore the food culture in Britain. Henry now runs a butchery with the aim to shake up modern meat tastes.
The brothers are no strangers to television., with Tom having appeared in his own BBC4 documentary, In Search of the Perfect Loaf and Henry featuring as a contestant on BBC 2’s Great British Menu. Tom and Henry are also talented journalists and are regular contributors to renowned food publications such as Fire and Knives as well as featuring in several newspaper columns.
Sketts have released dates and locations for their Craft Fairs which begin in Stratford upon Avon on April 8th and 9th. Other fairs take place in Solihull, Droitwich, Bicester, Warwick, Brindley Place and New Street in Birmingham, Leamington Spa and Kidlington.

We had PJ in the office with us for a few days recently while his puppywalkers were away. He is a retriever/flat coat retriever cross and is 8 months old. He was great fun and did a lot of ‘retrieving’ around the house, bringing us all sorts of surprise objects to show us his skills!
Derek has started teaching his computer courses for this term at Stour Enterprise Centre in Shipston. It’s a great venue and courses are aimed at beginners and intermediate learners looking to improve their computer skills. The classes have a friendly, unpressured atmosphere and are going really well.
We aim to repeat the successful BLOG course some time in March as well as two POWERPOINT sessions. Give Derek a call if you are interested as there are places available.
Buying flowers online is easier than ever now from The Flower Shop which has premises on Henley Street, Stratford and on Regent Street in Leamington. Sally is extending the range in time for Valentine’s Day and the spring season.
