Sketts organize retail markets throughout the local area where you can grab a bargain in food, clothing, household goods, pet supplies, stationery, plants – whatever you fancy, come rain or shine – and from regular stallholders who value your custom.
We’ve been working on one page brochure sites for each market so that visitors can check days, times and locations and view some photos of what’s on sale. Take a look at www.southammarket.co.uk, www.banburymarket.co.uk and www.kenilworthmarket.co.uk
When Lorraine Smith set up her HR consultancy last year, we designed her website for her and were delighted when she emailed to report how well she was doing:
‘My website works – I get great feedback from it and have been attracting new clients who have found me via google and liked what they saw – so thank you for helping to make it work.’
Lorraine offers practical, hands-on help to small and medium businesses in dealing with their HR and employment issues. She’s had a very busy year working on a variety of projects so we have updated her site, adjusting the text and adding a ‘News and Reviews’ page so that she can show potential clients testimonials and recent case studies. Take a look at www.bravozuluhr.co.uk.

Summer weddings have been keeping our client, Sally, very busy at her florist shops. She has some lovely feedback from happy brides – both comments and photos. We’ve updated her website, adding client comments and photos from four recent weddings, illlustrating the range and quality of her work. Take a look at www.stratford-florist.co.uk.
On the subject of summer flowers, the front garden at Ambleside Guest House looks fabulous so we have taken some new photos to update the images on their website. Peter and Ruth’s little gem of a B&B can be found at www.amblesideguesthouse.co.uk.
We have been very busy updating the website for Stratford’s second food festival next month. The organizers Showplace Events are working hard with sponsors, exhibitors, local restaurants and chefs to make sure that the event goes well. Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased with a discount directly from the website at www.stratfordfoodfestival.co.uk.
Our client, Sally, who runs two lovely florist’s shops in Stratford upon Avon and Leamington Spa has won an award as part of the Leamington in Bloom campaign. She was the overall winner in the Florists section – a well deserved prize as anyone who has seen her shop on Regent Street will agree.
Sally has been busy all summer with weddings but is now hoping to further develop and extend her online range of bouquets and arrangements so we’ll be working with her to have it all set up before Christmas!
Following our return from the annual works outing to the 24 hour race in Le Mans, we have been busy catching up with website updates. I never travel without my laptop so I can keep up with any urgent changes on a daily basis but this week, I’m back in the office full time developing a couple of new sites and updating existing ones.
Website updates vary – some clients update daily or weekly while other brochure sites just need occasional refreshing. It’s vital though not to let a site stagnate – it will soon look dated and Google likes activity and change!
It’s coming up to Stratford upon Avon’s busiest time for visitors. The RSC has re-opened after its multi-million pound redevelopment and the town is really starting to buzz.
We’ve been working with a small, select group of b&b’s – all family owned and run to high professional standards – to do some joint online marketing. Find out more at www.bed-and-breakfast-stratford-upon-avon.com. Unlike some of the big chain hotels which have recently arrived in the town, your room rate with these accommodation providers includes parking, full breakfast and hosts with experience and lots of local knowledge.
We’ve been volunteering with The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association for several years now – looking after and socializing puppies up to a year old before they start their training.
This week we’ve got Archie, an 8 month old labrador/retriever cross. The family he lives with are away for half-term and so we’re taking care of him until they return on Monday. Like all guide dog puppies, he’s lovely – calm, responsive, sociable and fun. He’s full of energy but is quite happy taking a nap in the office while we’re working.
We usually work with small local organizations but our contacts with Bermuda (we used to live and work there) mean that we were asked to design a website to provide information about the 2013 Island Games being hosted there.
The Island Games take place every two years and provide an opportunity for the small islands of the world to stage a sort of mini Olympics for their sportsmen and women. This summer sees the islands congregating on the Isle of Wight and the Bermuda website needs to be up and ready so that participants can look ahead to 2013 and start planning.
Take a look at the site as it is developed at www.natwestislandgames2013.com
After last year’s successful festival, we are now working on this year’s site. September 24th and 25th – put it in your diary.
