Derek had the opportunity for a cycling weekend in Ypres and couldn’t resist the lure of moules frites and Belgian beer. The weather was mixed, giving him a chance to test all his gear but again, he returned full of enthusiasm for the Belgian cycling experience.

The Leamington Spa Autumn Markets continue next Sunday, October 27th. The Yuletide markets will begin on November 17th and the Christmas lights will be switched on at 5pm.

Starting this Sunday, October 6th, Leamington Spa Autumn Markets run from 10.00 every Sunday until Christmas.
Derek and Danny have completed the 100 mile Shakespeare Autumn MacRide, raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. The route took them around South Warwickshire and the Cotswolds as well as into Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.
This was a big achievement – their longest ride yet!
The big event of the month is The Stratford Food Festival on September 14th and 15th. The Free Food Festival in the centre of town is held alongside the paid entry event at the racecourse. As well as the farmers’ market of local producers, there will be a high quality specialized food market, a live food theatre featuring the best of Stratford food and drink and, new for 2013, a live music stage to put the ‘festival’ element into the event.
At the racecourse venue will be yet more foodie delights including baking demonstrations on Sunday by Paul Hollywood, star of ‘The Great British Bake Off’. You can buy tickets online or at the gate.
